• Project information: Property address, permit type, project description, square footage, project value, start date, and contractor information you voluntarily provide.
• Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and error logs for service improvement.
• Cookies: Session cookies for authentication. Optional analytics cookies with your consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To generate AI-assisted permit application documents using your project data
• To process payments for downloaded permit packets
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, receipt)
• To improve our service and fix bugs
• To comply with legal obligations

4. AI Processing

Your project description and property details are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate permit application content. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Database and authentication provider
• Anthropic: AI processing (project descriptions only)
• Stripe: Payment processing
• Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@permitsautomated.com. Payment records are retained as required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@permitsautomated.com. Florida residents may have additional rights under applicable state law.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and row-level security in our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children

Our service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice on our website.
